His glowing patterns reflect against the water's surface. He stares up at the moonless sky before disappearing into the still waters. Ray can likely track the glow under the surface of the water.
It blinks out of sight.
It takes a few minutes before bits of something start bobbing to the surface of the lake. Green skin and meat shed in the change.]

Her fears rise when the light flickers out, and even though she should be used to monster transformations by now, what qualifies as her stomach turns and twists. She stretches, going up more than forward unconsciously, as she hopes to get a better glimpse.]

[There is likely a distressingly long period of time before bubbles start to break the surface of the water. The trail of bubbles continues as Leo sheds what his previous form was. Exoskeleton, antenna, and old shell left behind.
Leo resurfaces after a moment, resting his chin on the shore. His tail wiggles under the surface of the water. He rests his one flipper on the sand.]

[She tries to remain calm, reminding herself that this was all perfectly normal and totally under control, even as more parts of him rise to the surface. After wrestling with herself over it, Ray transforms her shell into its umbrella form so she can try to reach out into the water and scoop anything other than water a little closer. She doesn't get much accomplished, seeing as the water is still getting brought towards her no matter how careful she's trying to be, and more importantly, Leo does eventually make his way back up, his stripes a beacon of hope. She wasn't holding her breath, since she doesn't really breathe, but there's a sighs of relief anyway. Her arm and shell-umbrella are still being held aloft.]
Leo. [Leo!!! There he is!] Of course. You're always cute. Mm, I don't have a mirror or camera on me... I could go get one. Or -- do you need medicine? Are you okay?
